TWELVE HOURS! (you are welcome to make any edit/change) Yes it's already 10:58am on 28th here, but just make sure the whole world has passed 28th, i decided to wait till tomorrow. Is there ANYONE who's still working on their submission?
please don't make my judging any harder...T.TOverall the entries amaze me, there are some VERY creative individual out there, i'm truly impressed (which makes it REALLY hard for me to judge....T______T i really wish i have more prizes but i'm so broke atm and i won't be free to draw for half of february, unless someone's willing to donate drawings or points? *innocent look* ) And thank you very much for everyone who participated to make this a success. Good luck!18.01.2012Although slightly reluctant...lol....but i guess i'll have to extend the due date, since a few did noted me about computer files crashing etc... O_O As a recommendation, please refrain from doing big files, especially ones that overload your computer. (I know SAI has a recommended file size) O_o;; I do mine at A4 size 300dpi, which is around 2480 X 3508 px. you are most welcome to go anything under that. (Even to as small as 600 X 800)

As I have said before, I would like to give out the 1600+ DA points I got for donation, so I'm now holding a contest to make things more interesting. The aim is really just to spark some inspiration for people having art blocks and don't mind earning 1000 extra DA points. lol So here we go~ (Just something exciting before Christmas~ >W<)
THEMEI'm trying to make this as open for everyone as possible, but I don't want the theme to be too generic. (a lot of people have suggested holiday/xmas/winter, I have seen those themes too frequently, sorry! >.<)
YOUR TASK IS TO CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SET OF OBJECTS AND USE THEM AS YOUR THEME: (you DON'T have to use ALL THREE , you may use TWO OR THREE. Please don't mistaken that more is better, depending on your composition, sometimes two elements might work better than three.)*Drink bottle|paper|clock
*Apple|chair|metal
*Mirror|paints|bells
Your image must contain at least two of the objects from your chosen set. Consider the quality and symbolism of each object. E.g. paper are usually blank, but they are malleable; clock can symbolize time; mirrors may have religious associations. Try using the characteristics of the objects to inspire your character designs too.
Tip: google these objects before you start, you may be surprised at the range/variety and how different they are from your imagination.
These objects and groups are chosen and put together to create some opposition/contrast,
please refrain from putting them in the most common place, like a kitchen with a drink bottle, some paper and a clock in the background. ***This "theme" idea is initially an exercise I'm doing myself.
Using this pic as example, the random words were mushroom, cardboard box, and blood. Also the quality of mushroom - such as the spots and puffiness - is incorporated in the girl's clothing design. I'm looking for something with creativity and abstraction.
